This sale ends Saturday morning and it is late Friday night. What input can anyone give me on this guitar. USA built? Good 6 and 12 string sound?
Thanks,

I know this is probably too late for the auction, but I will reply. It just bugged me to see a post with no responses.....

I am a fan of the Pinnacles from the early '90's. They were made in Japan, and are good guitars. Even better, the eBay market seems to have gone through the floor, as these are going cheaply if they are going at all. (I know about this, as I have taken a bath on a couple of them lately.)

My own opinion of their quality is that they compare well to Balladeers. I have had a dozen, or so, of the Pinnacles and recommend them IF they can be bought at a good price. Duh.....

Although my 1992 catalog shows a deep bowl full body Pinnacle model was made, all of the ones I have seen were shallow bowl cutaways.

My search is over. I have been looking for the perfect guitar as a gift for my father-in-law for over a year. We are true Texas campfire pass the geetar guys.
I just nabbed a 1973 1112-1. Looks like it has not been played in 30 years. Sunburst finish really rocks!

I think you made a great choice for the purpose. The Pinnacle may be a little too 'uppity' with that shallow bowl and cutaway for a Texas campfire. Happy Holidays!

Maybe it was my reply that was 'uppity'.... I just read on another thread how much another member likes his Pinnacle as a campfire guitar.

So let me summarize that this all just goes to show, er... uh.... just how versatile Ovations are! :D
