If you go give us a report on anything that you see that interests you. It's always good to hear about those things from a member vs. what we read in the Media.

See you at Kummersvintage booth.
Paul T, will keep the eyes open for a slothead under a grand. Actually I heard that #31 is for sale, at 15K. Don't know if that's accurate but I hope it is and that he gets it. |

After recently making the DRIVE from Key West to Yulee, I can confidently attest that EVERYTHING in the State of Florida is "3 plus hours" from everything ELSE in the State of Florida!! :D
I'm STILL seeing "white lines" in my sleep!
I heartily agree on the 15K for #31, Bill. |

Location: Central Florida | Hey Al & Miles,
I agree with cwk2, y'all need to come down to the Orlando show! I've gone every year since I moved here. It's great, but, to be honest, it's always been a little sparse on Ovations. You guys could handily fill that gap I'm sure.
If anyone from the OFC is going (to the Orlando show), it'd be nice to hook up, if just to say hello. Al and Miles... the weather's great! :)

Al, Miles, we'll try to save you a spot next door, come on down. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Brad, Detroit HAD a show on November 8th and 9th at the Ford Performing Arts center in Dearborn, very close to where I work. For an Ovation lover, it basically sucked. I went just after open on Saturday---I was looking for a nice old Balladeer, Legend, Pacemaker or Glen Campbell and it was major disappointing.
There were 2 GC 6-strings, but both had wood cracks in the top below the bridge....and they still wanted $350(one had an ugly pickup stuck in the sound hole that had damaged the rosette). In fact, every old (15-year-plus) Ovation there had cracks in the top below the bridge! The closest I got to dropping money was on a 1612 Balladeer, however, it had a couple of ugly cracks below the bridge plus the action was higher than a kite, and they still wanted $400!
There were NO Adamas guitars in any way, shape or form.
Don't mind spending money if the guitar is in decent shape, but none of the ones that caught my interest were. Only thing that saved the show for me was a vendor from Cincinnati that had a fabulous selection of books and videos. Even had a hardbound copy of the Walter Carter Ovation book autographed by cwk2(I would have bought it, but I didn't see a price on it, and I figured that premium autograph would put it out of my price range.... :D ).
Haven't seen a listing for another Detroit show. Maybe this one didn't do so well?????

Location: Central Oregon | It has snowed at least 20 inches here in the past week. It was below zero for several days. We've been getting freezing rain for 24 hours & you have to be *extemely* careful walking outside. Driving is not all that great either, even though all three of our rigs are 4WD. There is a thick sheet of glare ice on everything here. The ol' body shop is gunna be hoppin' as soon as the freight trucks can get here from Portland. I hope my 2002 Collectors doesn't get in a wreck this weekend on it's way here.
