What the difference, soundwise between the two? I have played a CVT, but not the SMT. Thanks

I have had a couple of CVTs and several SMTs, but never had two of the different types at the same time in order to A-B compare.

But I did note that the CVT seemed to me to be a bit more 'alive' and responsive. I do like the SMTs, but the CVT sound really impressed me.

Zchord,
I concur with Paul, the CVT is an awesome sounding instrument, and that's an excellent characterization of "lively". I too haven't been able to do a side-by-side comparison with the SMT, but it's by recollection that the SMT is a "warmer" sounding guitar but I really want to do a comparison. There are people on this board who are real pros, and I think if you do a search you'll find a couple discussions on this topic.
