Hallo,

I have an Ovation solidbody electric guitar with the serial number of E12068. Can anybody fill in the missing blanks about the history of this guitar as I don't even know what model it is.

Many thanks for your assistance,
Ian

Thank you Greg for taking an interest. Gold hardware, dual humbuckers - not sure how to describe but I've seen rails describe this sort of pickup?, it looks like an ebony fingerboard with hollow inlays, two volume & two tone controls with a 3 position switch, a sort of Les Paul type pickguard. Its sort of a cross between a Les Paul shape however the single cutaway is not so sharp. What is strange about the guitar is that it does not appear to be made of wood but some sort of plastic composite material. Once again thanks for any assistance given.

Cheers,
Ian

Sounds like a UKII, try a search on that or go to the photo gallery where I think some are shown.

Welcome to the board.

That's what it is, hollow inlays make it one of the early ones, back when there still was a pickguard. Nice guitar, if I do say so myself.
