Location: Athens, GA & Gnashville | This place is great! I've been lurking here for a little while and thought I would introduce myself.
I have played nothing *but* Ovation acoustics and acoustic-electrics since 1967. Man, what I would give to have my "first generation," shiny back Deluxe Balladeer back! I got it when I was 14 and it was stolen a few years later. Since then, I have owned and sold a few Ovation gems, though.
Right now, I have a very early GC Artist, a Country Artist nylon(vol. and tone model), a very early nutmeg Thunderhead, and a custom made "fake" GC acoustic-electric. I say fake because it was made right after they discontinued the GC line, but was made to original specs except for the OP24 preamp.
Well, enough about me. I got a question for guys. What do you think of the 1994 Collectors model? What can you snag one of these for these days? Does anyone recall the original list price?
Thanks, and I really look forward to the vast wealth of Ovation knowledge here! |

It sounds like you have a rich history to add to the board. Keep looking and "lurking" and you'll find a lot of neat stuff. Use the search feature for info on the 94 Collector.
In the Reference area you'll find the list price data among other things. See if $1695 is correct.
The 94 Collector Looks pretty down home.
Peace  |
