Half-Spruce/Half-Cedar
Anyone know of these? Anyone play one? |

By the way....it is SOLD...Elderly doesn't have it any more.....

Thanks for that information.
One of the things I love about this site is that I learn something new just about every time I log on. |

I would not have believed it if Sam hadn't confirmed it. Raises so many questions, Why? Why? Why? Definately one of a kind, but why? |

Location: The Shop | If I remember right, We were trying that combo. to see if we could get more sound from the top. The idea being that the cedar would vibrate more more. I didnt know that ant made it out to the public! looks cool but was way hard to build. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | It was done for fun. Actually I saw the idea in a book about Danny Ferrington, he'd done it for one of his Niel Finn and thought we should try it. Two were made, one with bass cedar and treble spruce and the other was the other way. They were interesting but nothing overly special. They never got sold and when they showed up on my door step in Fla I sent them on to Elderly. |

Location: 6 String Ranch | It wasn't difficult, it just really didn't do much so why bother? Does make for interesting conversation 10 years after though. |

Location: The Shop | It wasn't difficult for you Bill cause you didnt have to try and put a neck angle on two different types of wood! That neck angle was damn near immpossible. If I remember right the first one took me two tops to get it right. You were always throwing us curve balls. I can still remember when we got the order, We were like " What the hell,he wants cedar on one side and spruce on the other" ? Hey it is not just a job it is an adventure.
