Location: Upper Left USA | Then your friend Rob is a cut above the rest and I mean him no injustice. My experience with drawings and giveaways where they specifically require your email, name, etc. is that they are there to build a mailing list and that is all. What they do with that mailing list, keep it private or sell it, is no longer under your control once you submit.
I would hope this company acts fairly as you imply but I am still cynical. Look how long it took us to stop the Telemarketeers with their dinner hour phone calls. There is fierce competition for client specific listings. |

Location: Zion, Illinois | They ARE a cut above the rest. They want to promote their guitars. To do so, they are willing to GIVE away a guitar. The first time they did so, they had a little above 200 entries. They didn't sell the email addresses, they picked one and gave them a guitar.
That is what they are trying this time. The only difference is that this time they are better known. Instead of 200+ entries they have over 1200+ entries.
This is because they are a total class act !!!

Location: Upper Left USA | I found some neat items when I explored their site. One was the variety of materials they use in their inlay work. The other were sound bites of different woods used on their instruments.
I think the Ovation site would be more interesting with a selective sound tracks. |
