So, if you cant play 'cause your hands are all cut n bruised, whaddaya do?

You get out the polish and clean up your gear!

One of the nitpicks about that Adamas I just got was the neck fishish. The playable area was great, the polished area was great. The heel was great. The sides and back of the headstock looked like a cut above lumber. Totally dead and dull looking.

Enter Boston polish. Dang! (sorry Al) That plank shines now! Woohoo. Amazing night n day difference.

BTW, the Butchers Spray Polish is what Fender sold as "Fender Guitar Polish" for years. Dunno if they still do, or if they're still using Butchers.

Well, there's Adamas and then there's Adamas. Is this guitar the older, classic Adamas, or one of the newer ones?

Pete - local Ace Hardware had it. They didn't have the white Bowling Alley Wax, and I think the light amber Boston is probably a better choice (wont show white in the grain).

Mood, its an SMT very recent manufacture

Pete, I lied. I just threw away the receipt - it was a TrueValue hardware store. I know this for sure - HomeDepot and Lowes do not have Butcher's. They have Minwax - which is a good product, I've got some here too, but not on the Ovation list.
