Location: Tampa, Florida | Interested in the Elite LX models. There doesn't seem to be any difference in the two models, except for the A vs AA top wood. Is the Elite worth the extra $220 for just a grade of top wood? Anything else different? I will have to mail order one, so I am counting on the great opinions of all of you. Thanks |

| You also get an ebony bridge vs. Rosewood, I believe. I haven't compared them side to side, and I don't feel the need to. I'm very content with the Elite lx. Before that I was leaning toward the Adamas CVT, and I feel my elite is first-rate and I've saved some money by not getting the Adamas (which is a fantastic guitar!).
I have no regrets. I believe Moody and I have the same model, and I would bet Moody would agree with me that the natural is gorgeous showing off the fine woodwork in the eps. |

Location: Lafayette, Louisiana | On LX models with a rosewood fingerbord, the truss rod cover is made of rosewood. On LX models with an ebony fingerboard, the truss rod cover is made of ebony. Both are great looking truss rod covers I might add. |

Location: Upper Left USA | I did prefer the gloss neck over the satin and the ebony over the rosewood. Any real difference in the A or AA top will mean a little right now and possibly more in the years to come. I replaced my gold tuner buttons with the Pearloids and I think it's just great.
By researching prices you can get the Elite LX for $1050 vs. $850 for the standard. Test drive if you possibly can. |

Never quoted the Elite LX through Al but the Legend LX was way below $1,050...at least 10% below the lowest price I saw on the internet. Also the lowest for the 30th Anniv CL. No games, just excellent service. |

Also, I don't care for the rosewood truss rod cover on the Standard Elite LX...if I had bought the one at Elderly, I'd be making (or buying) a BLACK cover to replace it. Also, I myself prefer the New England Burst on the Standard over the darker burst on the more expensive Elite.
