Hello,

I own a guitar which is a copy of an Ovation.
It is a super shallow bowl named "Storm".
You can find pictures of it in the gallery (sorry, don't know how to post a pic in a topic  ).
Serial n° SR 388. Pre amp : EQ7545.
Do you know this model ? Where was it built (country) ? What could be its cost ?

Thank's !!
Dude.

PS : didn't put it in my guitar's list because don't play with it anymore... and is not a real Ovation ;)

Curious if it's an Ovation made bowl with someone elses parts or do they also made bowls.

Is this similar to some of those made in Mexico Volkswagen parts. Different materials from the tossed out molds and machinery.

The Ovation bowls are made in the USA and in fact even the bowls for the imports are "exported" to make those guitars.

Well, that kind of begs the question, "Where are the necks made?" This one appears identical to most other "O" necks. So, are the parts just assembled overseas, due to reduced labor costs?

There's people over there who make knockoff bowls. There are copies and they do everything pretty well.
Funny though, you don't see copies of the Tegement or My Other aBortion. I guess they only copy the good stuff.......
