I just watched a PBS program on the Carpenters, and it was pretty good, especially in discussing how they found and developed their hit songs. In one of the scenes I swear I saw an Ovation electric hollow body, like a Storm os some such, anybody know anything about this?

If Karen had eaten the guitar, she might have lived longer. She had the purest of voices.....

I saw them "live" in '72, if I remember their touring bassist (who was miming to Joe Osborn on the recorded music tracks) used a Typhoon bass. He often appeared on the TV show and other TV appearances.

If Karen had eaten the guitar, she might have curvier bouts too.

Ought not joke too badly... I'd gladly give MY bouts if I could.

And she really had that golden throat...er *great voice*, what a gift.

The really sad thing is that if Mama Cass Eliott had only "shared" that ham sandwich with her, they'd probably BOTH be alive today.

And if Bill Clinton had actually inhaled he'd probably play an Ovation instead of a saxaphone!
