I'm about to buy a used Celebrity on E-Bay. This is for a 13 yr.old guitar student of mine. The seller states that " the pickup doesn't work." I don't know if it's a p/u problem or a pre-amp problem( and i suspect the seller doesn't know either.) Worst case... if I have to rpl. the electronics pkg., will I be able to get something somewhere. I know the service dept. only works on USA Ovations, but could I get parts from them. I know I could just call Kim and ask, but it's Saturday, and the auction's up tonight. HELP! John.

John, I'm not knowledgeable about Celebrity electronics, but I'd stay far away from this particular guitar....I went and looked at it....the seller has a big fat ZERO for feedback, the electronics don't work, it makes me very nervous. There are plenty of Celebrities on eBay, and I'd keep looking.
