OK, this critter has two neck bolts, accessible through the soundhole. Does removing the bolts allow simple disassembly, or is it glued- into the pocket, and on the fretboard extension?

I think all models prior to the LX series have the fingerboard extensions glued to the top.

These are "un-glueable" given some heat and the careful use of a thin wedge (like a very thin scraper blade).

This is also something left to a pro, as too much heat, or wrong use of the wedge, will destroy the neck, the bracing, the top etc etc.

The LX's have a bolted on neck extension. Taylor has a similar arrangement. Tacoma uses a Fender style attachement, bolted on from the back thru a thick neck block (crude, but effective, and I've been told the Chief and Jumbo's dont sound too bad at all).

Thanks, CharlieB.
I was thinking that might be the case. I've gotten the brigge off already. I was just wondering about the neck. This should prove to be an interesting project.
