This is for Rick H or any "O" marketer...
This is worth a test. (IMHO)

To be placed on ever new LX that gos out the door.
(You know, at the final check point...)
Someone applies a strip of "static cling" clear film with... (Some suggestions)

USA !
New Neck !
New Electronics !
New Lighter Weight !

Pick It Up !
Plug It In !

I Dare You !

I think the "strip" will cling and not come off. I don't think a 3 inch wide 8 to 10 inch long strip will affect the sound or finish. This isn't a hangtag that will be taken off, or interfere with a rack system.

I feel it will support the "point of purchase" display and seperate the USA made Ovation.
I believe the retailer will support and enjoy the additional marketing.

I like it! I would also do some test advertisements such as:

"Revolutionaries Wanted!" In 1967 they changed the shape of guitars, then they changed the way you plug in. Now they've change your mind! Get your hands on an LX... if you dare!

or

"This isn't your father's Taylor!"

or

" Plug in, tune up, and turn on!"

and...
"So Dude, like if everyone plays a Martin or a Taylor, what are you going to do?"
