Location: Fort Worth, Texas | I ran over to my local mom and pop shop that is an Ovation/Hamer dealer. Asked about LX - he had no plans right now to get any. Says he doesn't sell that many Ovations (I bought my Legend from him), his current selection of Ovations is all Celebrity models. He said he downgraded he dealer status (I think to "C") which I guess means he can carry just the Celebrity models without stocking the USA ones.
He told me that Guitar Center is selling Celebs at cost, all his had a major sale tag on them - makes it hard for him to compete.
That being said, he can order anything I want, and he does have a great selection of Hamers (import and USA). One of which I am now considering after seeign the care that goes into these guitars - a Monaco Elite with the Indigo finish. Guess I better start making some money at this band thing :D |
