Location: Upper Left USA | Having changed the strings on my Pacemaker 3 times in the last 2 weeks and my Elite once I have seen my share of D'Addario boxes with the "Players Points" on the side.
Seeing that every time I go into a music store I end up tuning the Ovations and/or pointing out where the dead batteries are I think it's only fair I get some "suck-up points" or something! At least you should ship me a few 9 volt batteries or a few sets of strings!

Location: Upper Left USA | I think I've earned my merit badge in string changing. Probably deserve one in trying to push a rope as well. Medium strings and down two frets played well on Sunday. The Schubbs capo was the most accurate to use as well. What I missed was the automatic tuner that isn't on the 1615. My cheapo Korg unit doesn't speak non-EADGBE. Maybe if I quit playing with things and kept the same strings in the same tunings I'd be OK?
Deep down I know I want an Adamas 12 string Longneck. Or 5 more 12 strings set up in various tunings.
But my fingers are tougher than ever! :D |

Location: Central Oregon | I'm glad you got it to work Mike. You should get a merit badge in re-tuning as well. A guy can get spoiled by a built in tuner pretty fast I've noticed :) About the only other thing I don't like about my Pacemaker is the short 12 fret neck, I don't think I want to capo off two, it doesn't have enough to begin with.

Just had a "wild hair" question. Does anybody ever play 12-string slide?! Mr. Templeman...Sir....could I get your attention here? I would surmise you are our Resident Guru in this area. Any thoughts, or perhaps, a discography, on the subject?

Location: Upper Left USA | Does that mean that a Tacoma Papoose 12 string is not in your future? It's a cute 1/2 size or so size guitar tuned 5 frets higher. Rich, bright sound and a nice feel too.
This morning the Pacemaker is tuned to open G. I want to get down the song "Grand Canyon". Then it's back to DGCF#GD.
BTW Seesquare - most of my posts never stay linear! Go for it!

I still can't fathom how he does all that stuff anyway. And, how can he be so enamored with Taylors? He does have a "signature model". With all the electronic tweaking he does, he would definitely be better off with an "O". But then , I digress, yet again...... |

Location: NJ | I don't remember the "titles", but Willy Porter (who is a phenomenal guitarist/singer/songwriter!) does some 12-string work that incorporates slide as well. |

Location: Florida | Tacoma Papoose.... they can't seem to keep the bridges on the six string models. I can't imagine the twelve doing any better.
I'm not sure what it is with the Papoose and the bridge. Maybe they need a mandolin type bridge and tailpiece. |
