Our UPS driver tried to get away with my 1115 yesterday. My boss stopped him per my prior request. (Thanks for the warning on that Tony.) He was heading for the truck empty handed when I got there after lunch. I told him it wasn't going anywhere, it needed to be inspected, not shipped off, I fell for that one once before. He told me there was niothing he could do about that & walked off.
I emailed the seller yesterday evening & he called today & said there will be an inspector here no later than tomorrow at 5:00.
I printed out 3 completed auctions of O cases (two for $76 & one for $65). All I can do on the refinish price is tell him a complete refinish is about $350+shipping. I wasn't perfect to begin with so we'll just have to haggle on that part.
That's where I figure he'll tell me "Tough shit." & drive away.

Good Luck, keep the pressure on them. A botched shipment, $$$$, a repair, PRICELESS!!!

I have been put through the mill with UPS several times. You need to keep after them. the more phone calls they get the better they respond.
keep getting NAMES. They hate when you refer to names and keep bringing them up.
