Location: Yucaipa, California | I'm trying to come up with yet another "dream" guitar and this is what I have so far:
...cutaway,deep bowl, no epauletes, ebony bound multi holes, ebony fretboard/bridge/headstock, tree of life MOP inlay full length of the fretboard, join body at 14th fret, dark figured Cedar top, gold tuners, OP 40/50, .... any guesses as to the approximate cost to build it????

Location: NJ | You'd probably have to cut individual thin "rings" of ebony and then inlay them around the soundholes. Lotsa' time/material. |

Location: Yucaipa, California | Thanks for the replies....$$$ this is why it's still only a "dream" guitar....
I envision the darker/green/blue MOP inlay $$$, maybe MOP instead of ebony around the multiholes...
Any comments on the specific design requirements?

Send me what you got and a sketch of your vision. I can do amazing things with duct tape, RTV and a dull exacto knife! My rates are cheap too! |

Location: Yucaipa, California | ... I was going to go down to the local GC with a pair of needle nose pliers, go into the Martian/Trailer room and .... voila, tree of life MOB (OOPS I MEANT MOP) for me!
do you have CLEAR Duct tape? I would still like to see the shiny bits sparkle.... I can get some peel'n'stick woodgrain shelving paper.... flat black Krylon.....

Ok. If money were not a problem I would like an Elite LX series with Blue translucent color (top and peghead only)and the epaulets shaped like the MOB board thingys.
I think it would be cool and an alternative to making a very bad choice! |

Not sure if Ovation would do a TOL fingerboard. you may have to outsource it elsewhere. |

I may have to ask Inlay Mother what the limitations on MOP inlays are.... I wouldn't want another "Frankenguitar"!

My feelings won't be too hurt if you decline my offer. Here is someone who can perform a much better job than I could:

Clear Duct tape w/ needle nose pliers "acquired" Martian/Trailer MOP looks way more affordable!
Mommy?
