| Ooops, I had this post in for sale......
I can't find much info on the '94 collectors. There is one on e-bay for @ $750 (perfect condition). I have a 1767 '86 custom legend (love it, it is completly opened up and just sings), but I am looking for another stage gtr. How much differance will the mid-depth of the '94 sound against the deep bowl of the legend? Any advise on the '94 would be helpful.....Thanks |

In case you haven't seen it, the Ovation website link for the '94 is here:

A direct comparison is difficult without having the two guitars side by side. Two '86 guitars like yours will probably sound different, and so will the '94.
There are some archived threads discussing the sounds of different bowl depths, and there isn't universal agreement. The top is just as important, I think. A shallow bowl with a good top will sound better than a deep bowl with a lower grade top.
To the point: the '94 is a handsome guitar, and it has good features. Whether it is what you want for that price is something I can't answer. |
