I have a magnum bass and a tornado guitar and was curious what company made the bodies. I know in the book witten about ovation guitars they mention that the bodies were made by a german company. I am curious what german company made the bodies.

Probably the same factory that the Framus bodies came from. Maybe that's the Framus factory, or maybe a subfactory for them.

According to the history of the ovation guitar book all of the hollowbody electrics were made in germany. My thought would be that they were made by either framus or Klira but have not been able to find that our anywhere. I know most of them have a K prefix for the model number and maybe that would pint to the Klira factory. These are just a guess not based on facts.

Thanks for the info
