I would appreciate any comment or experience on this unit by any fellow member. I am thinking about picking up a used one (for around $120) for vocal work. It's recommended by a friend. Thank you.

My only comment is that it's going to take more than this to make you sound good.

Michael, don't rush into buying anything, sooner or later you'll win one in a prize draw

You really can't go wrong with a Lexicon unit, although I did a little research on this one, and there is occasionally problems with the control knobs. I have never heard of anything like that, but I read it on a few reviews I found, so there you have it.

For inexpencive reverbs that sound great, amd more importantly come with out-of-the-box useable patches, I like Behringer. I would stay away from low end Alesis and such, although they are nice, most sound pretty stale. The Lexicon, even the low end ones, are at least very useable. As I said, the only other inexpensive reverb of that style I would bother with is Behringer.

I own some older lexicon stuff, generally it is good. I tend to stay away from behringer but it is my own personal bias regarding their business practices.

I've heard some good things about the Lexicon Processors but have never used them myself.
Digitech has some good processing units. I use to own a StudioQuad Model that sounded great and was relatively easy to use. I Don't know if anyone else had any experience with them. But I never had trouble with mine. It Had some great reverbs, Delays, Chorus effects and then some. It was selling for about $400 at the time. They now have 2 other models available too.
