That is interesting, but for 6 grand, I think I would want to know a lot more about it and see some better pictures and a factory verification.

Note: 12 string on bottom on this one.

I would gladly give up my Celibacy, but I think that I have some kids who want to be college educated. Damn priorities.

I think I've read postings in here about this one before -- maybe from W-2.

Just a thought. If Ovation can produce a LX with a street price under $1000. Why can't they produce a Doubleneck under $2000? Can a double cost more than producing two separate guitars?

45Flint,
If you hadn't given up your celibacy you wouldn't be putting anybody through college! But the pursuit of happiness (or chicks) is probably why most of us took up guitar!

I believe it was the optimist Charlie B that gave us a lesson on the pricing being based on demand more so than cost. For the double-knecks it would seem that way. It doesn't figure into our way of thinking - but it is economics.

That guitar has been on eBay several times before, but the last time I remember seeing it was 2-3 years ago, and I think the price was a lot lower.

The seller has been around for awhile, and is known for some very rare and high grade boutique guitars.

I think he is okay, and the guitar is authentic.... but that is a brand new matched pair of Adamas 6 & 12 with money left over for a trip to Hawaii to play the doubleneck and be glad you didn't spend six grand for it.

I have never been part of the "If you have to ask the price you can't afford it" club.
