I recieved my new Balladeer LX Gutar via Fed Ex today and it is beautiful! It looks great and it sounds great. There is just nothing like the day the new guitar gets here.

I'm hoping someone can answer a quick question for me.

The guitar comes with D'Addario EXP strings. I'm not sure the gauge, etc. Does anyone know what gauge/model number the strings are that comes with this guitar?

If someone knows and can tell me the D'Addario sting specs so I can get another set I would appreciate it.

Rob T,
Congrats on your new arrival! The EXP's are Light Gauge. I've grown to like them a great deal.
Not sure of the gauge numbers, But I know they are light gauge. Again Congats on the new Arrival.

Here's the scoop on the strings from the Ovation Website FAQ's

"We use D'Addario EXP16 (.012-.053) Phosphor Bronze strings on our guitars. Another string we like is the Adamas 1818 (.012-.053) Phosphor Bronze. You can use whatever string suits your playing style. Heavier or lighter strings might require a truss rod adjustment."
