Did some grazing at my most and least favorite music stores in Tacoma this morning.

GC had an Elite LX in amongst three identical Celebs and a used custom Legend that should have been buried with honors (left in trunk would be my guess). I went over a MERB Adamas thinking "the OFC Guitar has got to be a 12 string". It absolutely kicked a$$ on any other 12 in the house. Up high and in the bright lights was a ""Red Flame" Elite T for $999. Hot! Little else to note.

Now the Ted Brown - I love these guy's! Had a Balladeer LX in a display as well as the best variety of O's. Adamas 6; very nice, New 96 "Book" with ding for $1900, 3-4 Celebs with special figured tops and some USA O's.

They had a Solid Bubinga top Elite (Store Special order) and a figured walnut top Elite. Both were gems! I spent a lot of time with a Celeb 12 string that felt very nice. The Fender 12 sucked and the Tacoma 12 was mediocre and overpriced.

When I got home I told my wife that I had bought a new guitar and gotten a tattoo. She asked how much was the guitar?

I'm still waiting on the right 12 string. ;)

Mike, the Melissa 12-string kicks ass, and the Glen Campbell 12-string takes names. I have both. If you want a player, the ME is the ticket, but if you want SOUND, find a nice old GC.

One of our local music stores has a (very lightly) used 1866 Legend shallow bowl, about 10 years old, in cherry, and I wish I needed another 12-string!!!! :(
