I forget who else on this board had this problem, but I just discovered 5 cracked tuner buttons. Quite sure #6 will follow soon. Upon closer inspection, found these are plastic! I had 1 real Ebony mini button to rpl the worst. Emailed Kim about getting 5 more. The plastic buttons have an octagon-shaped bushing inside, so there is almost nothing to the button where the shaft goes through. This was not a smart way to save money in production, but who knew this would happen...hindsight and all. Anyway...that's the story. John. <>{

The good news is that there is a Customer support that actually supports Customers! Sorry they broke in the first place though.

John, check your email. From what I was told, initially the buttons were plastic, replaced by the factory with ebony. Check with Kim. No problem.

I had the same problem.

Thought I'd purchased ebony buttons only to find (when they cracked) they were only plastic.

I rang the Ovation customer support centre and they mailed me 6 new ebony buttons at no charge. I was very impressed and no problems since (this was about 4 years ago).

Suggest you give them a call.
