Location: Vernon, CT | Back in the 1960's and maybe early 1970's as some of you may recall there was an instrumental Rock group known as "The Ventures" which released a few singles that included titles as "Wipeout" (more known version done by The Safari's), "Walk Don't Run," and the "Hawaii Five O" theme song. The group only used Ventura guitars and of course were employees of the guitar manufacturer. I'm not sure if Ventura guitars exists anymore but the concept of a group of musicians playing only instruments made and musicians sponsored by The Big "O" is interesting and might deserve some more serious study. I would definitely sign up for that program even though I know I'm far from the best. Play on!

Location: Scotland | There have been several Ventures models made by Mosrite, and numerous Mosrite conterfeits from Japan where the Ventures are still pretty big, but as far as I recall "Ventura" was a range of pretty nasty late 60's early 70's Jap copies. |

Yep, what Al said.
The Ventures put out at least three or four albums. I bought 'em all. I was quite a fan & played a lot of Ventures stuff when I was in high school from the early to mid '60's. I tried one of those Mosrite guitars once & decided the ones the Ventures used must not have been the regular production models. The one I played was a POS.
