Location: phoenix AZ | what an ordeal I've had. bought a cc63 on ebay, did not change my address with pay pal, lost a day because of holiday, and when it got here the body is seperated from the top, lower bout right side. the kerf backing strip broke, not just seperated. called music shop, luthier say's he sends them to mfg cause he dosent want to mess with heat and composit.sent in UPS damage form (@ website) now wait some mors.
any body had a claim with UPS? did it work out OK?

Location: south east Michigan | Yikes, this sounds like the worst case of damage I have heard of. I have had success with a minor $99 claim. No hassle, few questions. Did you buy from a private seller or a retail store? I bet UPS is more likely to look closer if it was bought from an individual.

by the way the shop i called for info and also my fave guitar store is Milano Music which is mentioned in the serial no section as recieving one of the slotheads back in 1977 (#46).
i'm going over there tomorrow ans see if its still around...hope so. |
