I was thinking it might be cool to have a hall of fame for the OFC. When a member reaches a certain number of posts they get into the OFC hall of fame. Of course Al and Miles would be the first two in as our founders. What does everyone think of this idea?

I think I'd be lumped in right after Al and Miles. Not certain I'd want to be compared to either of them.....

Although I am in the top 5 number of posts, 1952 is a long way from the 3101 of Alpep and the other profissionals. The tally from the top after Alpep is Moody(2837), Templeman(2559), Cliff(2200), Bailey(2129), Me(1952), CWK2(1919) and Standingovation(1096).

With that much time online, we should be in the Kall Of Pity.

Be careful on your definition of "fame". Quantity isn't the only factor. One of my co-workers, while enjoying an after work beer one day, was bragging how "famous" he must be because after 20 years of marriage he still had "relations" almost every night. Well, I recently met his wife and all I can say he is one brave soul. Most anyone else would have lost interest in her long ago. I assume he requires chemical assistance.

Now, getting back on topic. I don't know about "hall of fame", but there are many OFC members I would call "All Stars" based on the quality of their knowledge and their willingness to share and help others. Some of these guys don't post all that often, but when they do it's real quality stuff and the help that they provide for others (myself included) is wonderful to see. Probably not an accident that these guys are also some of the truely nicest people I've met around here and I appreciate them a lot. They know who they are, and so do all the rest of us.

Gee, thanks Dave! ;)

Oh, you meant the guy's with the right answers!

I think it was Ringo Starr that said he was just glad to be in the band!

You are all guilty by association. Ovationists have meetings but we're not interested in finding a cure.
Thanks for all you do!

Dustin Hofmann gave an acceptance speech at some awards ceremony years ago and said, "To all of those who have helped me in any way I say Thank You. To those of you have not, you know who you are."

funny I find myself posting less and less. In the beginning I felt obligated to answer all the questions and initiate threads but this thing is running on autopilot. It gives me more time to devote to my miserable life, house, business, cars, .......

The idea is interesting, but it risks generating a lot of posting just for the sake of racking up fame points. Doesn't that use up bandwidth?
