Maybe this is old news to many of you....our local Guitar Center just got in a new non-LX S771 Balladeer with a CEDAR top. They have a regular spruce top S771 currently as well and I tried both back-to-back. The cedar-top S771 has a little "darker" sound(and appearance), but still very nice. For some reason it was $100 cheaper than the regular S771($629).

Anyone else seen one of these????

I've got the Spruce S771, but if I had the choice when I bought it, I probably would have picked the Cedar.... I have a thing for the "dark side" guitars!

I'd agree with the Gentleman from hiccup. But not as a main guitar.

I think that it is amazing that the FD 14 has a cedar top and is considered by many tobe the nicest sounding unit they have run across. Not the loudest or most bright but sweet.
