Location: Canada | Guys, thanks for all the help on the Elite T question I posted earlier today. As it happens I actually pulled the trigger on a purchase just now. I opted not to go with the Elite T 1778. I went instead with the Ovation 2003 Collectors Series in natural finish. Got it from music123 for $650 shipped. It has the epaulets and the OP-40 preamp that you all seemed to think is pretty danged good.
I talked with a few people who seemed to think this guitar is superior to the Elite (including one store clerk who sold only the Elite - a pretty truthful guy). I live in backwoods Canada and don't have a chance to try this stuff out.
Anywho, just wanted to say thanks again for all the help. If anyone's interested, I will let you know what I think of it once it arrives.
