Anyone have any info on this connecticut made ovation?? year specs..whatever. Please it has alot of sentimental value and i would like to know more about it.

welcome...see the search option above - I put in 1139 and there were 16 "hits"

One of them had:

"Ovation wrote me that this had a Balladeer body and "Matrix" type neck--foam construction, though it has a rosewood fingerboard."

Several posts stated that there appeared to be a hole for a truss rod, but no truss rod.

Basically a hybrid Matrix. The O site shows (for the 1137):

I suspect that this was made in Moosup in the late 70's early 80's.
