I bought this little Tacoma Papoose acoustic/electric for $200 (cheap!) because it was missing the truss rod cover & had some small cracks in the back from drying out. I repaired the cracks & made a truss rod cover for it. I also trimmed 1/16th" off the bottom of the saddle, adjusted the truss rod a tad, installed a set of D'Addario custom light gauge strings & gave the whole thing a coat of lemon oil. This is where the 'tenuous' Ovation connection comes in- I made the TRC out of part of a block of wood that Tony Calman sent up to me that he had gotten from the Mothership. I'm not sure if it's mahogany or walnut, but it's a scrap from an Adamas neck. This is an incredible little guitar. It's tuned to A, (think regular guitar with a capo on the 5th fret). It sounds amazingly good unplugged & plugged into my Genz Benz through a ZOOM 504-II it really rocks! This little sucker is only 31 inches long overall & it plays really well. What a kick in the butt!
