That'd be a pretty cool guitar to own (and play).
Knowing how sturdy and resilient Ovation's are, I don't think i'd worry about moving it to a tropical clime, but (since it's "never been played") I'm sure the owner is pretty much concerned with "collectibility".

Are you familiar with this auction house?
I was wondering if it might be possible to contact them and possibly find out if one of Cat's SlotHeads went up on the block as well at that time. If memory serves, he HAD two (#28 & #56), but one was stolen?? |

Checked out the site. Interesting stuff.
Oddly enough, the thing that I found most cool was the original mechanical "chest-burster" from (one of my fave flicks) "Alien". THAT"D be something cool to have! Mount it inside your guitar and have it "burst" through your strings at the end of a gig!! . . . for eight to twelve thousand pounds, I think I'll pass . . . . |

Paul T Would have to answer that... But it sounds like alot. Plus you have to consider the Taxes and shipping to get it To Here.
I'm having a tough enough time coming up with the funds for a new O. If I had to go the Used Route I'd have to make sure it was something I could afford. and it would have to be in this country. |

you answered before Paul T! It did sound like a chunk of change to me. I'm glad you could help Cliff with an answer. |

I sent an email to him asking what other (if Any ) Ovations were listed on the auction brochure with the guitar and his reply was as follows:
There is :
Ovation – Legend (the one for sale)
Folklore and
Pacemaker
No Adamas!
