Folks,

My Nylon string classical Acoustic/electric Celebrity, model CC059, saddle broke sometime during the past week. I was traveling, came home, opened the case started to tune the guitar and noticed that the saddle had “flopped over” and was laying flat on the bridge. I loosened all of the strings, reseated the saddle in the bridge, started tightening the strings and the saddle “popped” and snapped over again. It looks like the “pins” at each end of the saddle have broken off (I have both of the little pieces).

Have any of you encountered something like this? Can I pick up a replacement saddle somewhere? Would one of my local guitar stores have them in stock?

Thanks!!

Paul V.

You MIGHT try a local repair place, IF they do Ovations. Your best bet'd be contacting CustomerService, but they're closed for vacation (till Aug.).

Call 'em today. I think they're closing next week.

Recommend you email Keller too.

Is there an authorized Ovation Dealer close to you?
If so, they may be able to help.

Budney, John Budney. Although there may be a new nickname coming out of this post.

Thanks for the correction,... John Budney (Sorry John! :o ) Let's not start any "new" nicknames 'cause of my goof!

Spoke with John and he's sending a saddle my way. Thanks folks.

Slap, I'm not familiar with Keller (sorry, I'll go look). There are a few vendors out here in Tucson, I'll go check with them....

Thanks again!!
