The seller stated "There are cracks/chips in the finish, but none in the wood."
I would ask for details and detailed pictures...you either like it or add about $350 plus shipping for the top to be refinished. Natural finish can really show finish cracks, whereas I have a couple dark sunburst where it just adds character.
No finish cracks or other damage: $550-750. Finish cracks or some other damage: $350-$550. ? low end depending on other damage such as chips, cracks, separation of bridge, fret wear, etc.

I agree with Tony's comments on the CL, it's about the finest guitar Ovation ever designed, IMHO. I also concur with his assesment of the value. I've bought two CL's in the last three months, both in excellent to near mint shape, and I paid $600 for one, and $750 for the other.
On that 1123, it looks like it had a neck replacement at some point, as that looks like a late 70s neck on an early 70s body. Of course, that doesn't make it a bad guitar, it just may not be all original (if that's something that would even be an issue).

Location: SoCal | As an example, paid $600 in ? 3/03 for a 1619 that was supposed to have no finish cracks...came with a couple and of course, seller said they must have happened in shipping...worked out a $100 discount down to $500. Probably would have wanted to bring it down to $450 but it was my first CL 6-str and plays so sweet and was dark sunburst. Be careful of finish cracks on a natural - had UPS damage on a 1658 (Custom Legend 12-str slothead) - looked like scars on a beautiful woman. Sent it back for a refinish of the top. Also depends on where the cracks are...under the strings, who cares.
This one could go for $550.
