I haven't really had a chance to give it a good thrashing yet, Chris.
I've been taking photos ever since I got home, had dinner with the family and I'm off to the monthly Blues Club an hour ago.
I'll give it some tomorrow, or maybe later tonight - right outside the flightless fire breather's bedroom. |

Still have to work out how to get it into the house - not too hard with SWMBO but my 20yo son is a snitch at times...
On our Downunder page Muzza wrote
We'll have an '05ES, '07C and '08C in the same room. AJ's got 3 days to acquire an '06C to complete the contour collectors set. |

I can see one of the braces through one of the holes, but that brace doesn't exist on my Elite.

CrimsonLake should have had perfect sight seeing weather for his drive. There was a touch of fog along the Great Salt Lake just after dawn, but up north it looked clear and a million miles viz all day. You know, there is a great locally based airline that coulda flown you into Idaho... |

Chris, it sounds nice. As it's a USA Ovation, I'd be surprised if it didn't.
As nice as the '05? Can't say. I'm EXTREMELY biased.
Couple of little things, nothing serious. Action is too high. Need to take a shim or 2 out and the neck needs a little tweak. If your ability is truly how you describe it, the action shouldn't bother you til you finally 'reveal' it to SWMBO. It's a pretty straight forward procedure - we'll talk you through it.
On-board tuner doesn't work. Battery is fine though, almost blew my tongue off. Could be that you need a dummy plug?
I'll try it plugged in later on and see if it fixes it. I don't need a dummy plug on the '05, but that tuner is so innacurate, I don't use it anyway.
I seriously want your case though. |

We can pull some shims out on Saturday if you want Chris. Can also give the neck a tweak, but you'll have to finish it off, because it's a tweak, wait, tweak job. |

I sound terrible plugged in. Really. Every mistake amplified, the good stuff barely audible. No wonder I play only acoustically.
Nothing wrong with the guitar though Chris - and the tuner is spot on. VERY accurate. (To my ear)
Just noticed that the washer around the 1/4" jack is rusty. Not a problem, just cosmetic. |

Hey Richard, was the case that came with the '08 an old brown one covered in scratches? Same as Chris's... I'm having trouble remembering if the scratchy brown case was the one with my 08C or my old legend. Maybe a few drinks will refresh my memory. |
