 | Well , a little early but, Yes, Happy Thansgiving to one and all!!!
Just out of curiosity, knowing Thanksgiving is an American Holiday, do any of our Downunder, Great Britain, Irish, Scottish or European members have a Holiday "simular" to our special day? (sorry if I missed anyone)

 | Yes, we have a Thanksgiving day as well in Germany (called "Erntedank") but not on the same day as in the US. It´s always celebrated on the first October sunday. So no extra holiday for us! We take harvested products to church services, offer thanks for the good harvest and have the food blessed. It´s an old tradition that disappears more and more as today only a minority is directly involved in farming.
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

 | Well I posted this last year, but couldn't resist since it has the pilgrim salt and pepper shakers. Happy turkey day. We'll be spending it up in Tennessee and get to see Capo Guy...(I think it looks better as a lamp)

 | It's the second Monday in October here, because harvest time is earlier in the northern climes.

 | Ours was October 13 but coincidentally we're cooking a 15 pounder tomorrow so I guess we'll celebrate Thanksgiving again. |
