Went to the CD shop to buy some "new" stuff (as opposed to my usual routine of "re-buying" old stuff that I don't have, anymore . . . .)

Picked up a copy of Mark Knopfler's latest, "Shangri-La".
TASTY stuff on here! If you're a Knopfler fan, this is a "must hear".

Also picked up Chris Robinson (Black Crowes)'s solo album, and the latest from Richard Shindell . . .

Mark Knopfler was on Prairie Home Companion (surprisingly) last week...

Played some sweet stuff indeed.

I have two Richard Schindell CDs (but one has started skipping) - only new about him because our local NPR station (KERA 90.1) USED to play music most of the time. When they went with the standard NPR, PRI format a few years ago, there went the best place to hear about artists that you normally don't hear on commercial radio....
Amyway "Summer Wind, Cotten Dress" is one of my favorites....
