Location: Massachusetts | Been looking for a new acoustic for a while now. I have an s771 that sounded great when I bought it new in 01 but not so good now. I LOVE!!!! the neck.
So my quest for a Taylor ended in frustration and I haven't had any luck finding a wood guitar that stands out.
So I ordered a used CCB CL mid depth body from 2000. I hope the acoustic tone is better than what I have now and plugged in it isn't like last years old stock CL shallow body I tried in GC.
The neck should be close to my s771 in fatness right? I love oiled necks.
I always wanted one but couldn't afford it and still today not new. It has like 4 small dings and some pick scratches I hear so I might freak out if it looks too used. You can't find mid depth ones anywhere used.
Just jittery hoping I have made the right decision.
Paid $875 shipped from a national reputable dealer. Please tell me I didn't get hosed? They originally wanted $985 plus shipping but I made them an offer figuring Ebay and last years model shallow bodies are around $850 I guessed.
Thanks. |

Location: SoCal | I am sure you will fall in love with it. The finish is catalyzed polyester, very hard. Got a couple of light scratches? Found StewMac's #4 Swirl Remover will buff them right out. Even was able to take out a couple of small finish cracks. Enjoy. |

Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Elderly Instruments????? If so, I have played your guitar on a couple of occasions, and it is good. Not to worry. I was scratching my head as to why it was there so long.....
The neck is not as fat as your S771(or mine), and I believe it is gloss.
