Hi all:
I'm looking for advice from Ovation players in the Philadelphia PA area; my 1863 classical is in need of a setup + possibly some repair, could anyone share info about a shop or luthier who's particularly good at working on Ovations?
Thanx in advance,
Wes

The number one choice should be to ship it to the North Pole and let Santa's Elves - Oh I'm sorry, wrong post...

I meant to say send it to Kim K and John B at the factory for an assesment and repair. It won't get any better than that.

Finding a trustable Luthier to build a working relationship in your local would be excellant (that's why you are trying to do this).

Contact Kim Keller at the Ovation Factory for shipping instructions. There is no comparable option. Ovation factory service is nothing short of superb.

I would stick with the "O" people who know! That sounds like a commercial doesn't it. :)

I wish I could agree about the service being superb.
I have heard great things about John and Kim but the Canadian service deparment leaves much to be desired. I think John was involved in a Hamer factory tour on friday. I'm going to give him a call on monday and see if he can help me. Best of luck steenwes...
