Location: Anchorage, Alaska | My wife just showed me a recording of a program call "Design on a Dime" where they made picture type frames with a guitar hanger mounted on it to hang guitars as art. What they did is this:
Cut out a piece of plywood to size and cover it with a nice cloth. I think I'm going to use speaker cloth.
Then take some 1" X 4 or 6" wood and make a simple frame sized to the covered plywood. It might be best to paint or stain the wood before mounting it to the covered plywood.
The mount one of those U-type guitar hangers in the right spot onto the plywood.
Now the whole thing is screwed securily into the wall. Now hang your guitar on it and you have a new piece of art on the wall. It is almost like a shadow box without the glass cover. On the show they had 4 of these on the walls of a music room and they looked fantastic. Very cheap to build too! Take care and have fun. |

Do what I do. Drill a hole thru the peghead of your Ovation, insert a metal screw thru the hole, and screw that into the wall. Never falls down. and comes off the wall with just a few turns of the screwdriver. |

Location: south east Michigan | On one of those remodel you house shows they hung this guys guitars on the wall and framed them with some nice wood work. Probably the same show. Mine are not on the wall but I do have them out where I can appreciate them.

Location: 6 String Ranch | Levy's Leathers makes these little leather straps that are about 8" long and go on the tuners, like the A and B or D and G. My room in CT had barnboard like boards for the wall so I just put nails in seams between boards about three feet apart and hang the guitars that way. I can get about 25 on the walls and it's great to look at as you sit there and play. When we sell the house the nails will come out and because it's the seam it will not be noticable. When you talk in there all the Nationals talk back at you!
Down south here I have two wood strips with 5 dowels each and can hang 10 on the wall. A few on stands.
Decorating with instruments, you gotta love it! |

Location: NW NJ | Don't need to frame my O's. Just hanging on the wall by themselves is as much art as I need. More important than that though is that my wife loves the look of my 6778LX (NEB) so much that when I take it out to play at church and then bring it back in the case and forget to re-hang it, she goes and gets it out and puts it back on the wall herself. Yes amigos, this is heaven on earth! :D |

Location: Toronto | So - lets say I were to build a hanging picture framed guitar mount, with.. oh say... different styled frames, maybe some mirrored backings. Would I then be able to surrepticioulsy hang them all over the house in such a way that I would have access to a guitar in every room, and not have my wife notice...hmmm
