Just do it! No disappointments!
You could also look in the archive/search using the words Elite T, 1778T and such.
IMHO it is the best value for a new Ovation, pound for pound, if you will. |

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada | Hey Len, welcome. You're from Liverpool? After you buy your Ovation, get together with three other guys and form a band with a name that starts with, say, a "B". Eventually people will start calling you the "Fab" something-or-other. ;) |

I'm sorry, I meant P.I. You just gave a new meaning to going for the Oval Office (porcelin palace) :D . I don't like getting involvedwith political discussions, but I couldn't resist. I hope I didn't offend anyone. |

Location: NW NJ | The 1778T is a wonderful instrument. I own one, and it continues to amaze me with its sound, durability and excellent understated looks. I love the all black look with that gorgrous rock maple neck. The guitar sounds a big as the great outdoors, and the ebony fretboard makes for excelent sustain. The secret to the big sound is the enamel coating that wraps around the whole body. It is alot thinner that the gloss finish that Ovation usually uses and the top is much freer to vibrate. Not to mention, you don't have to worry about scratching up the top with your pick either. The sound and projection is amazing. The action on mine was great out of the box, but if yours comes with the action a little too high, you can easily remove a shim or two from under the saddle and sweeten it up some. The Ovation neck is as stable as a rock. And just wait till you plug the thing in - nobody has cracked the code on making an electro-acoustic guitar like Ovation has. Buy it, play it, and fall in love. :D |
