Location: Fayetteville, NC | Ovation Hasn't Sold Guitar Straps In a long time. It would be a neat idea to have a OFC Guitar Strap sold in the OFC Store. I'm not sure of the cost involved. But my guess is They's sell alot of them. I'd buy some myself. |

If everyone who would by a OFC-strap could send a post here, then they would know how many they'd sell right away and I guess that would make it a bit easier for them to calculate their return of investment.

best strap I have ever had is the 3" non-padded leather carved Martin strap - still looking good after 24 years.
good leather acoustic style strap - I'm in... |

I need two as well, one for my Legend and one for my Yairi. I like canvas ones, though and hey they are much cheaper. Elite LX, how you likin' that Walden? I think they are great for the $. |

Location: Monroe, Ohio (Cincinnati) | I have been looking for a strap like one I purchased probably 20 years ago.
It is still in great shape. It was called a Fretsling. It is made of a very deep brown, thick leather, and is cut in a very shallow sort of backward S shape. It is 3" wide and has an adjustable tale strap 1" wide. It is by far the most comfortable strap I have ever tried. It lays perfectly flat over your shoulder and across your back. This design spreads the weight of your guitar evenly across you shoulder and back.
If I could find them I would buy 2 or even 3.
I have even thought about making them myself and reselling them. Another one of those around tuit things. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | I'm in, but only if the strap is blue. Not too blue. Just a shade darker than a sunny spring day. Not powder blue, that's too light. Fading to lighter buttermilk white on the edges, please. The edges should be double sewn. I would also prefer if the hardware was plastic, but make sure its the sturdy resin based kind and not just injection molded. If molded, please ensure that the edges are smooth. Also please make sure the end pin holes are no bigger than 15mm. I could use as small as 12 mm if I had to. The holes should be double reinforced. Lastly, please make sure the straps come boxed and not just in plastic bags. The chemicals from the bag tend to seep into the fabric of the strap. |

Once we get this out of the way, maybe we could do some OFC coil cables! :D |

Location: The Great Pacific Northwest | I thought I had posted this, but maybe it was an email to someone. I have yet to find a distributer for a decent strap at a decent price. Most places want to sell you a few hundred at least before they will even talk. Now having said that, if you don't care what kind of strap you get, than that is an option I guess. |

| Tony I bought "Franklin" custom leather straps for my Acoustics! Hands down the most comfortable straps made. Non-padded double layered W/nice stitching. All my Basses have Padded straps.
I would love to see an OFC strap that has the OFC embroidered on it but also the Multi Hole design incorporated on these, somewhere? Can't imagine Ovation would have a problem with this, considering it is the Ovation Fan Club!

1) After lots of effort, Miles comes up with a way to obtain an OFC strap. He gives us a general description. NO CUSTOM REQUESTS! If the deal he works out is for a mauve strap...that's it.
2) Miles asks for, and recieves commitmets from 30 members to buy a strap.
3) Then, these 30 folks send in the money for the straps.
4) When Miles receives payment for all 30, he pulls the trigger on the deal with his supplier.
5) We wait patiently for our custom order to arrive.
This way Miles and the OFC store will not get stuck with inventory that might take to long to move. We get a nice custom made strap and can finally end this thread. |
