Just found this great site. I'm sure CWKII remembers my father, John Ringso.

Wondering if there is any 1966/67 memory of what appears to be a shallow bowl prototype. Serial number 001 with an S under the 001. It's Deluxe Balladeer in appearance except it measures about an inch less in width, length and depth compared to my Deluxe Balladeer S/N 129.

A happy new year to all.

Hi and welcome to the site!

It sounds like you have a couple of very intersting ovations...could you post a few pics in the gallery for the rest of us to drool over?

Bearlym6,
Yes I remember your father. He has the distinction of being the first Ovation employee even though technically he probably was always an aerospace employee.
The really thin Ovations, I remember 4, one red, green, blue and black. They were nylon strings. I know where the green and red ones are and I think Sam had the blue one for a time. You have the black one? Or is what you have something completely different? That is also possible. Could you post a picture?
Happy New Year.

Thanks a lot. Just wanted to show you these old timers for size comparison. I guess I need a cheat sheet to do any posting.
