I am interested in this guitar but it doesn't look right based on the Ovation website...round hole and available in black or white. This one obviously doesn't fit that description.

I have sent seller an email requesting better pics and asked a few questions but haven't hear back yet.

Any thoughts from the collective?

Stephen, It is a 1985 I believe. Check out picture on ovation website in collectors series. If so, it says about 715 were made just for 12 string. I wonder what the final bid will be? peace mike

Thanks Mike,

That looks to be the ticket. I guess the guy couldn't read the 1985 on the 12th fret. I will be interested to see how he answers my questions.

Wait for your reply, but if it makes you feel better in the mean time - 5's look *a lot* like 6's to me if I'm not wearing my glasses. They started looking more alike about eight or ten years ago. At first I thought it was that 'New math' stuff being foisted upon us, sorta like the Metric system. Then I noticed that 7's & 9's were looking strangely similar as well. Come to think of it, that was about ten years after all the crickets in the world died.

"What a long strange trip it's been..."
