a real bummer

a great talent check out his vocals and lyrics on the early traffic stuff. just stellar.

but I am a huge traffic fan and what the hell do I know I am just an idiot that sells gear for a living.

if I remember correctly, from his "Whale Meet Again" album,

show me a man who makes law unto himself,
show me a women who is humble and shy,
show me an old man not afraid of death,
and I'll show you a warrior with a clear eye.

bummer, I still love traffic, peace mike

I particularly liked his work with Dave Mason through the 70's and early 80's. Saw them live a lot.

"From a heartache so blue
From a shadow to the sun,
From a lifetime on the run,
You know I'll be home to you."

Gosh that's 2 Jims in 1 week. Jimmy griffin of Bread Died Last week, Jim Capaldi this week. Jim Capaldi had some great solo stuff in the Late 80's too. The a few Singles weres released to mainstream Adult Contemporary Radio at that time. Great voice and great talent. He will be missed.
RIP Jim!
