As in Gear Aquisition Syndrome.

As primarily a bass player, I think I'm having the worst case of it ever.

Wow...

LoJoe,
Didn't mean that I was going to bid, but that you might as well jump in the bidding. Thought I better clarify my statement.

This bass has been listed before, so if I was going to bid I'd ask why.

Are we spinning our heels on this one?

eBay pulled this auction the other day for "violating listing guidelines". Could it have been due to, “Not Fender” in the Auction Title? It started with a $1499 buy-it-now that no one grabbed.

It was re-listed yesterday with the same Title, same $1499 buy-it-now. No one grabbed at the BIN, bidding is up to $636, the reserve has already been met, and the BIN is gone.
Record sale price if someone had grabbed at the BIN before it disappeared.

Will we see this auction run its course?

I'm not into the twists and turns of Ebay, but that is one pretty bass. I agree with LoJoe, that one gives me severe GAS and I don't even play bass.

I could learn, but I won't bid.

Just received a dear "bidding participant" email from eBay: "ended early by eBay for violating one or more of our listing guidelines..."

Phew! I had almost talked myself into bidding on it. Didn't know it had a history. It shor was purty.

There is nothing bad about GAS. Just remember the words of Malcom Forbes, he who dies with the most guitars, wins.
