Location: Fort Worth, Texas | Here's a call out to any OFC members in Texas and vicinity. I've tentatively schedulded the weekend of April 8th-10th for a jamboree in Palestine, Texas.
Palestine is in east Texas, so you can judge from there (closer to Louisiana than parts of Texas :) ) on trying to make it.
Please e-mail me if you are in the least interested, I can give you more details and we can adjust the date if needed.
Once we finalize I'll make an official annoucement here.
Thanks, hope to hear from y'all...

PS - Be warned in advance, I'd be playing a ukulele. Am I still welcome? |

Location: Fort Worth, Texas | David, Palestine is just a couple hours drive from Dallas, we make the drive from Fort Worth in about 2 1/2 hours:
My cousins own a unique piece of real estate just outside Palestine called "Old Magnolia Town" and are willing to host for the weekend:
I've posted some more pics in the Photo Gallery under Old Magnolia Town. The pictures don't really do it justice, but you get the idea.
I'll be fixin' to contact all of y'all that posted or e-mailed me with more information!

Location: SoCal | When we had the SoCal get-together, didn't think about inviting any of our local Kaman staff.
At the two Matt Smith chop-shops a couple of months ago - on Friday, Joe Montoya (Dist. Sales Mgr for Kaman) and Robert Jespersen (Nat'l Call Center Drector) were there. Joe was there at the Saturday session. Course, Joe was there because one of his stores was sponsoring Matt.
However, they were very enthusiastic, supportive, and appreciative of the OFC and the members that were there.
Might be a good idea to invite your district staff... |

You'd love East Texas! It's absolutely Beautiful. Palestine is only about 35 miles from Tyler where my folks live. Gee, Should I?? I'm going to really consider it and see if I can fit a trip in |

Location: Fort Worth, Texas | Well, I've got around 10 responses on possible attendees.
I'm off to Lubbock for the weekend to a birthday/guitar jam party hosted by fellow Kerrverts (that's us Kerrville Folk Festival campers). I'll find out who among that crowd can make it for our weekend (there's some Taylors and Martins in thier crowd, but also a couple of Ovation players :) )
With hizzoner's help we may get our regional Ovation rep out....
Look for a new annoucement next week.

~~Hizzoner figured out the Dallas guitar show is the April 8-10 weekend I tentatively schedulded for our OFC/Texas Get Together. Ovation will have a booth at the show and our local reps will be there. So we are now tentavively schedulded for April 22-24 and still are trying to get one of our local reps to make it. I WILL finalize this date today or tomorrow with our hosts and make an official annoucement here. Hope those of you who replied can still make it!!
Thanks
Paul Wagner
