Something about aluminum and electricity that kind of bothers me.
But, speaking of alum. instruments, last Saturday I went to the rehersal of a blue grass band that is going to put on a show here. The upright bass was made of aluminum!

Aluminum is just a passing fad, they'll get back to plastic soon and then things will all be normal again.

The shape kind of reminds me of a Breadwinner or Deacon. I agree with Noah the headstock is weird.

I seen this one before. That is called the Pacman headstock.
