I recenlty started taking lessons (3) weeks so far and have developed the flu. I am immunosuppressed so catching bugs is easy but takes a long time to recover. Are their any dvd/cds out that are made with the beginner in mind that are any good. Need something to do while I wait to get my lessons started up again.
Thanks.. :)

I just found one that I think is great for the beginer. It is "the ultimate" basic acoustic guitar, tought by Keith Wyatt. I've checked out quite a few of these and this is one of the best. An added bonus is that he PLAYS OVATIONS THROUGH THE WHOLE DISK. Several different "O"s are in stands around him. The CD is basic lesson 1 & 2 where the VHS is only lesson 1.

The Guitar Method Book 1 by Hal Leonard..............about $6-$10 depending where you buy it.

Fender's book is exact to this one.........great as a companion to lessons.

My teacher uses it in conjunction with the lesson.
